XCMG Completes Landmark Installation Project on Tibet's Mila Mountain at Altitudes of Over 5,400 Meters

2016-09-28 21:53

NYINGCHI, China, Sept. 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- XCMG recently installed a heavy electric shovel on the remote Mila Mountain in Tibet using its large tonnage mobile cranes at altitudes of over 5,400 meters. Achieved in collaboration with a local copper mining company, this is the first time such a large tonnage, high altitude hoisting has been completed.

Speaking after the successful completion of the operation, Shan Zenghai, deputy general manager of Xuzhou Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd., said, "It's a big challenge for large tonnage mobile crane to travel so far and accomplish tasks at altitude, as it requires the products to have a reliable power system, strong starting and heat balance performance and high level of reliability for operating up or down the hills."

XCMG's QAY300A all-terrain crane that was deployed to Tibet can flexibly adjust between three- and four- axel loads in order to adapt to various construction sites, while the all-new G generation XCT100 truck crane -- used for the first time in Tibet -- is supported by the revolutionary rear axel hydraulic controlled self-steer and low-speed, high-torque power transmission system technologies to offer swift and powerful functions as well as best operation experience.

"We were confident that the high quality XCMG products could achieve great results," commented Tang Zhengwei, an XCMG technician who worked in Tibet. "The cranes were the first in the industry to adopt integrated brake management technology alongside matching super lift self-removable and balanced weight self-removable functions, wireless remote control and more to ensure smart, efficient and user-friendly operations."

The highly adaptable QAY300A and XCT100's grand debuts on the "roof of the world" won high praise from the client for their reliable, stable performance and excellent human-computer interaction technologies.

"Every piece of XCMG equipment goes through thousands of tests and inspections to guarantee the quality," said Tan Fuming, Xuzhou Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd's head of quality. "Our team of professional technicians also provides comprehensive training for clients, which shows our advantages in innovation, quality and customer service in the global market."
