KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, June 22, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Herbal Essences, a proud brand of Procter & Gamble (P&G), partnered with Asia's leading health and beauty retailer, Watsons for the "Feed The Hungry" initiative in an effort to end food poverty for underprivileged communities in Malaysia.

Through the initiative, consumers joined hands to support the cause by purchasing Herbal Essences products at Watsons. Accordingly, for every Herbal Essences bio:renew bottle purchased at any offline and online Watsons store nationwide, RM0.5 was donated to The Lost Food Project Foundation (TLFP) to support B40 communities across Malaysia.

Mr. Nantha Kalimuthu, Country Manager, P&G Malaysia, shared "In our commitment to citizenship in Malaysia, we take great pride in collaborating with our trusted partners to bring forth this significant endeavor. We express gratitude to the consumers who have joined us in this noble cause. This initiative stands as one of the many impactful social endeavors that P&G has passionately undertaken in Malaysia as a #ForceForGrowth and a #ForceForGood."

This initiative is part of P&G's long-term efforts to help people, especially those in underprivileged communities who are disproportionately impacted in needed times. In 2022, together with TLFP, P&G Malaysia launched #LeaveNoOneHungry campaign that raised more than 12,000 meals for those in need and ensured no one goes to bed hungry or gets left behind.

"Watsons Malaysia is honored to once again collaborate with P&G Malaysia and The Lost Project in the Feed The Hungry Initiative, which aims to impact the local community positively. Through this initiative, we are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those struggling to put food on the table. We believe that by coming together and supporting one another, we can make a meaningful impact and bring hope to those in need." said Caryn Loh, Managing Director, Watsons Malaysia.
