China Telecom Being Voted by Investors as Best Investor Relations Company Again

HONG KONG, Jan. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- China Telecom Corporation Limited ("China Telecom" or "the Company"; HKEx: 00728; NYSE: CHA) was voted, for the second year in a row, "No.1 Best Investor Relations in Communications sector" at IR Magazine Awards - Greater China 2015, among the nominees, including the large telecommunications service providers and leading internet companies in the region. This reaffirms the Company's excellent investor relations and corporate governance, and strong commitment to a high standard of transparency.

The winners are decided solely by an independent survey of investors and analysts, all of whom are located in the region. This year, IR Magazine received votes from around 400 investors and analysts to the poll. Just as in IR Magazine's other awards in Europe and the Americas, investors and analysts are asked to vote for the company giving them the best IR service in each awards category.
