Heraeus Opens New PV Facility in Taiwan

- Technology Leader Expands in Taiwan to Meet Demand, Invests in Future of PV Market

WEST CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa., Oct. 3, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Heraeus Photovoltaics Business Unit hosted the grand opening of its manufacturing site in Taiwan.  This newest Heraeus Photovoltaics' facility will allow Heraeus to provide faster service and customized products for the Taiwanese market.

The expansion of the Taiwan facility establishes Heraeus' dedication to the region and the PV industry with plans for continued growth. "Taiwan is an important market for the future of the photovoltaic industry," said Andy London, Global Manager of the Photovoltaics Business Unit. "We value the demand from this region and see it as vital to the future growth of our global PV business."

The grand opening event held on October 2nd, prior to the PV Taiwan 2012 exhibition.  The celebration highlighted the new facility's expanded laboratory and local production capabilities. According to Jason Lu, Business Unit Manager - Taiwan, "We are excited about our expansion in the Taiwan market. The Heraeus Photovoltaics Business Unit in Taiwan is increasing its paste production and has hired and trained local personnel to support the operation."
