Hong Kong Airlines Participates in LST Buddy Volunteer Program

HONG KONG, Feb. 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Hong Kong Airlines has always been supporting different kinds of charitable activities to show the love and care for the community. On 20 February, Hong Kong Airlines' Volunteer Team participated in LST Buddy Volunteer Programme organized by The Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society, Kowloon. Lead by Mr. Zhang Kui, President of Hong Kong Airlines, the group spent a memorable weekend with the underprivileged elderly who live alone or in need, and shared Chinese New Year joy with them.

Around 30 members of Hong Kong Airlines' Volunteer Team have joined this meaningful event, visiting nearly 100 families of elderly living alone in Kowloon district, and distributing gift packs. Mr. Zhang Kui, President of Hong Kong Airlines said after the event: "Senior citizens contribute to the society with their wealth of experience and knowledge. Thanks The Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society, Kowloon for inviting us to this charitable cause, giving us an opportunity to sweeten up the underprivileged elderly in this cold season."

Hong Kong Airlines' Volunteer Team has contributed to the community through actively supporting in various charity activities since its establishment. In the coming future, Hong Kong Airlines will continue to attach great importance to community services, and encourage staff to join voluntary services, join hands and work together to spread the spirit of service and promote positive messages across the society.
