Indonesian Operator Telkomsel Chooses Green Tech Company Cascadiant to Deploy and Manage Its Medan Fuel Cell Network

2015-04-29 08:42

SINGAPORE, April 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Cascadiant Pte Ltd., a leader in the integration and deployment of latest generation green energy solutions has been awarded the contract to deploy its clean energy solution on the island of Sumatra by Indonesia's largest mobile operator Telkomsel. The fuel cells will supply critical back-up power to some of Telkomsel's most important sites.

With this Agreement, Cascadiant continues to expand its deployment of its Managed Energy Solution (MESSM) that immediately decreased an operator's carbon footprint while at the same time decreasing operating costs and vastly increasing site availability and performance.

As part of the Agreement, Cascadiant will integrate its IntelSite™ monitoring platform to fully managed all aspects of the energy network on a 7/24 basis via its Network Operations Center located in Jakarta, Indonesia.

"Indonesia has the ability to use domestically produced clean energy for commercial back-up applications and lead ASEAN in the adoption of a hydrogen economy. Operators are finally waking up to the fact that Cascadiant can eliminate their diesel generators and not only reduce CO2, but to stop them from being held hostage to the ever fluctuating price of oil," said Marshall Towe, Cascadiant Founder and CEO.

Over 80% of network outages experienced by mobile operators are power related. Cascadiant's solution, at above 99%, is far more reliable and provides mobile operators much greater network availability and most importantly increased revenue generation.

Medan has been a particularly challenging power environment. Telkomsel believes that Cascadiant has proven its capability and look forward to implementing the solution and seeing significant benefits.

Towe concluded: "Indonesian operators have the choice to use domestic fuel sources and to build their own country's green tech industry versus deploying 125 year old outdated and environmentally harmful diesel generators for back-up power. There is a better alternative and it is Cascadiant's clean and green Managed Energy Service."
