Tom Waterhouse - The Baron's Best Horse Racing Bets on Wyong Thoroughbred, Menangle Harness, Horsham Greyhound Bet

SYDNEY, July 25, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- The Baron, the resident punter of Tom Waterhouse, today issued a new post on his latest racing analysis. Tom Waterhouse is Australia's premium online betting website that allows punters to place a bet on any sport, with any bet type, any time, and with four generations of betting in his veins, Tom Waterhouse knows what punters want. "Increase your betting IQ with our 112 years of Betting Knowledge" by checking out the latest blog posts and betting tips, the latest of which are included below:

Horse Racing - Wyong Thoroughbred Bet (2:18pm AEST, July 24)

Happy Galaxy was an impressive winner on debut when he raced very greenly in the race, but won on class. He then backed that up with a third down the straight at Flemington when narrowly beaten by subsequent winner Stralia. This looks easier and The Baron urges punters to be on him today (Race 3, No.1).

At his first start, he raced on the wrong leg, so The Baron believes the Sydney direction will suit him. At his only other career start at Flemington he handled a slow track, and with the conditions predicted to be similar here, it should give him an edge over most rivals.

From barrier 5, The Baron expects Rod Quinn to settle him on the speed and be far too good for his rivals.

Harness Racing - Menangle Harness Bet (2:30pm AEST, July 24)

Clem Daniel surprised The Baron last start, and he expects the lightly raced 4yo to take out Race 4 at Menangle today (No.6).

He has only had 14 career starts, but he has managed three wins and six placings to date. His latest start was a very good third to the talented Tiger Tina, which has gone on to beat a handy field since. On that occasion he was only beaten 3.7m when they went 1:55.5 and he had to come three wide around the final turn. Prior to that he was a close second at this same track after coming three wide without cover at the 900m and beating home Revelations, She is Turning Heads and Leading Judge, which are his main rivals here, and which had easier runs on that occasion and could not beat him home.

He does not possess great gate speed but that is not a concern to The Baron here, as it is only a small field of eight runners and he should settle in the first five and be too strong late.

Confidence Level: 75%
Recommended Price:$2.20

Greyhound Racing - Horsham Greyhound Bet (3:49pm AEST, July 24)

The Baron is a huge fan of Devon Meadows trainer Karen Leek as she always has her dogs in excellent condition and has a phenomenal strike-rate of 34%. He is backing one of her dogs today, Din's Harvey (Race 1, No.2).

Din's Harvey started his career with a super five length victory on debut in a very quick time at Bendigo. Since then he has found nothing but trouble after some slow starts trying to work his way through the field.

The step up in distance looks ideal and from the inside draw he will be able to position himself nicely on the rail with the race starting on a corner. Even with his poor starts and unsuitable race distances, Din's Harvey has been able to record one win and two placings from his six career starts. The stars align here and he should be winning.

Confidence Level: 85%
Recommended Price: $3.00
