BEIJING, Nov. 9 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- The Right Honorable Tony Blair, Special Envoy, Quartet on the Middle East and Former Prime Minister of Great Britain and Northern Ireland yesterday met with over 700 Chinese and international business leaders at the BusinessWeek's Eleventh Annual CEO Forum.

On his first trip to Asia after leaving office, Mr. Blair shared his opinions and insights on the Middle-East process, Globalization and the role of business. Focusing on the Forum's theme "Staying on the Fast Track: Leadership, Innovation, Performance". Blair also shared his thoughts and opinions on how individuals are influencing the speed of change in the context of globalization. The traditional power-base is becoming diversified and that leadership is in reality about long-term opportunities for positive change. Nations also must collaborate together to tackle problems for greater harmony.

This year saw the largest representation from the Middle-East and created a new perspective from a fast growth region. Business leaders from the Middle-East shared their opinions on leadership, innovation and performance which they conceded are important components in uplifting the economy as well as contributing towards the peace-process.
