Developing Indonesia's business leaders for sustainable business growth and success

JAKARTA, Indonesia, March 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- With the recent formation of the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), the Association is now poised to further grow the Management Accounting profession in Indonesia to develop talent and support business growth in the country.

"We will leverage on the strength of the Association which has 650,000 members and students around the world, to raise awareness of the value of the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation in Indonesia. CGMAs are recognized by key employers worldwide for their skills in guiding critical decisions and driving strong business performance. Our plan is to support the growth of Indonesia's talents so that they can compete globally as CGMAs and contribute to sustainable business growth and success."

Several programmes have been put in place to spearhead the growth of Management Accounting in Indonesia, some of which are in partnership with the Institute of Indonesia Chartered Accountants (IAI). One such programme is the Future CA-CGMA Programme, designed for university students to develop their financial and business acumen and enhance their employability. Another programme is the CIMA-IAI Strategic Programme which enables eligible members of IAI to fast track to the CGMA designation.

For the public and employers, there are other special fast track programmes towards attaining the CGMA designation. These are the CFO Programme and the new Corporate Professional Pathway which provide several entry routes for eligible individuals, based on their work experience.

As a professional body, the Association also offers Islamic Finance and Global Business Services qualifications to equip individuals with up-to-date and relevant knowledge to serve both these sectors of the industry.
