HONG KONG, Aug. 15, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- This summer sees the opening of three Peninsula Boutiques, bringing the brand to a total of 29 retail outlets worldwide, including nine Peninsula corners at Duty Free Shops and Hong Kong International Airport.

The Peninsula Boutique -- Kai Tak Cruise Terminal

Adding to the portfolio in July 2014 were Peninsula Boutiques at Hong Kong International Airport departure hall and at ION Orchard -- Singapore's premier shopping destination, while the company's latest arrival is destined for Kai Tak Cruise Terminal on 15 August 2014. With these two new outlets at major travel hubs and its debut in Singapore, Peninsula Merchandising Limited -- the distributor and licensor of Peninsula merchandise -- is confident that its retail business will reach new heights.

Featuring the exclusive merchandise of The Peninsula Hotels -- the best of eastern and western hospitality, which began at The Peninsula Hong Kong in 1928, The Peninsula Boutique offers the finest selection of delicacies, including signature Swiss chocolates, exquisite Peninsula tea blends and coffees, cookies and cakes along with the renowned XO chilli sauce. A wide range of fine gifts for every occasion is also available.

Following the renovation of the company's flagship at The Peninsula Hong Kong in November 2012, the new stores carry the iconic design developed by renowned international interior design firm Yabu Pushelberg, featuring large suitcases with shelves and compartments fashioned from wood and leather to display the merchandise, whilst counter tops and floors are made of marble to give an elegant yet contemporary feel.

The new look will be rolled out at retail outlets worldwide with refurbishment work of existing boutiques scheduled at different stages. In addition to the exciting opening news, the company is pleased to announce that the boutique located at Shin Kong Mitsukoshi in Taipei is undergoing a face-lift to unveil a new Peninsula shopping experience by September 2014.
